Pastor Hal & Denise Sexton
Biography of
Pastor Hal and Denise Sexton
Pastor Hal Sexton and his wife, Denise, have served Northside Baptist Church full-time since 2015. Pastor Hal is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, and holds an MDiv and MARE from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served in several churches in secondary staff positions before becoming a pastor and has served as the Senior Pastor of churches in Texas and Florida since 1990. Denise is a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland with a Master's in Elementary Education and is currently a kindergarten teacher at Wilson Elementary School in the neighborhood of our church.
Pastor Hal and Denise have been married for 29 years, have four children, seven grandchildren, and one sweet dog named Sophie. Pastor Hal loves the Lord and the local church. His calling is to proclaim God's Word in such a way that lives are changed, the lost are saved, marriages are strengthened, and disciples are made. His desire is to lead a Great Commandment and Great Commission Church....One that loves God and each other and shares the gospel at home and around the world, making disciples who make disciples. Denise is gifted in hospitality and teaching and is an active part of the ministry of Northside. Denise loves to sew, do craft projects, read fiction and non-fiction books, and travel to see family and friends. They would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family.
